Description

Sweet, crunchy, and infused with warm cinnamon and pure maple syrup, these air fryer candied pecans make a perfect snack or topping. Ready in minutes and healthier than traditional methods, they’re ideal for salads, desserts, cheese boards, or just munching straight from the jar!

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 cups pecan halves

  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Optional Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for extra sweetness)

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (for a spicy kick)

Instructions

  1. Coat Pecans – In a large bowl, toss pecans with maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and sea salt until evenly coated. Add sugar or cayenne if using.

  2. Preheat Air Fryer – Preheat to 300°F (150°C) for 3–5 minutes.

  3. Air Fry Pecans – Place pecans in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through to ensure even cooking. Watch closely to avoid burning.

  4. Cool Pecans – Transfer pecans to parchment-lined baking sheet and spread out to cool and crisp.

  5. Store – Once completely cool, store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

  • Cooking times may vary by air fryer model—monitor closely.

  • Experiment with spices like nutmeg or cardamom for flavor variations.

  • Ensure pecans are fully cooled before storing to keep crunchy.

  • Make in larger batches for parties or gifts!
