Ingredients

For the Shortcake

  • 1/4 cup milk

For the Strawberries

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional, depending on sweetness)

Instructions

  • Prep the Strawberries: Mix sliced strawberries with sugar (if using) and let macerate for 10–15 minutes.

  • Make the Shortcake Dough: Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  • Add Milk: Stir in milk until just combined; do not overmix.

  • Shape Shortcakes: On a floured surface, shape dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle and cut into squares or triangles.

  • Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Place shortcakes in a single layer and cook 8–10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
