Description

These air fryer pumpkin fritters are soft, spiced, and perfectly golden with a crisp exterior. Made with pumpkin puree and warm spices, they’re a cozy fall treat you can enjoy without the guilt of deep frying.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • Cooking spray

Optional for Serving:

  • Powdered sugar

  • Maple syrup or honey

Instructions

  • Make the Batter: In a bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, egg, milk, and sugar. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix the dry into the wet until just combined.

  • Preheat Air Fryer: Set air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.

  • Form Fritters: Scoop spoonfuls of batter into small rounds and lightly spray with cooking oil.

  • Air Fry: Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crisp.

  • Serve: Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with maple syrup.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice to the batter.

  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook fritters in batches for even crisping.

  • If you prefer a sweeter fritter, dust them with powdered sugar or drizzle with a light glaze after frying.

  • To make them lighter, use less sugar in the batter and serve with a yogurt dip.

  • Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer for 3–4 minutes at 350°F to regain crispiness.
