1 cup all-purpose flour
-
1/4 cup sugar
-
1 large egg
-
1 tsp baking powder
-
1/2 tsp cinnamon
-
1/4 tsp nutmeg
-
Pinch of salt
-
1/4 cup milk
-
Cooking spray
Optional for Serving:
-
Powdered sugar
-
Maple syrup or honey
Instructions
-
Make the Batter: In a bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, egg, milk, and sugar. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix the dry into the wet until just combined.
-
Preheat Air Fryer: Set air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
-
Form Fritters: Scoop spoonfuls of batter into small rounds and lightly spray with cooking oil.
-
Air Fry: Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crisp.
-
Serve: Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with maple syrup.
Notes
-
For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice to the batter.
-
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook fritters in batches for even crisping.
-
If you prefer a sweeter fritter, dust them with powdered sugar or drizzle with a light glaze after frying.
-
To make them lighter, use less sugar in the batter and serve with a yogurt dip.
-
Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer for 3–4 minutes at 350°F to regain crispiness.
