Description

Soft, moist, and perfectly spiced, these Air Fryer Pumpkin Donut Holes capture the essence of fall in every bite. Made with real pumpkin puree and warm spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger, they’re a healthier alternative to deep-fried donuts—ready in just 10 minutes in your air fryer. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert, they’re a cozy treat you’ll want all season long.

Ingredients

For the Donut Holes

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

For Coating (Optional)

  • ¼ cup melted butter

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer – Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes.

  2. Mix Wet Ingredients – In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

  3. Combine Dry Ingredients – In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.

  4. Mix Together – Gradually stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. Form Donut Holes – Scoop or roll dough into 1-inch balls.

  6. Air Fry – Place in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through. Repeat as needed.

  7. Coat (Optional) – While warm, dip in melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.

  8. Serve – Enjoy warm with coffee, cider, or your favorite fall beverage.

Notes

  • Fresh Pumpkin: Use fresh puree for best flavor, or pure canned pumpkin (no added sugar/spices).

  • Test for Doneness: Insert a toothpick; if it comes out clean, they’re done.

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temp for 2 days, or refrigerate up to 1 week. Reheat in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes.
