Description

Turn fresh strawberries into a sweet, crunchy, and healthy snack with this air fryer dehydrated strawberries recipe. Perfect for snacking, topping yogurt, or adding to baked goods, these treats are naturally delicious and guilt-free.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, rinsed and hulled

  • Optional: a sprinkle of sugar or salt for enhanced flavor

Instructions

  • Prepare the Strawberries: Slice strawberries evenly about 1/4 inch thick. Pat dry.

  • Season (Optional): Toss slices with a small amount of sugar or salt if desired.

  • Arrange in Air Fryer: Place strawberries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if necessary.

  • Air Fry: Set air fryer to 130°F (or dehydrating setting). Cook 4–5 hours, shaking the basket every hour for even drying.

  • Check Doneness: Strawberries should be fully dried and crispy. Continue cooking in 30-minute increments if needed.

  • Cool and Store: Allow to cool completely, then store in an airtight container to maintain crispiness

Notes

  • Use ripe, fresh strawberries for best flavor.

  • Slice strawberries evenly to ensure uniform dehydration.

  • Store in airtight containers at room temperature for up to a month; refrigerate or freeze for longer storage.

  • Experiment with seasonings like cinnamon, vanilla, or cocoa powder.

  • Monitor air fryer settings and times for your specific model to avoid over-drying.
