Enjoy crispy, chewy cookies baked in your air fryer with exciting flavor variations like chocolate chip, lemon zest, peanut butter, and coconut lime. Quick, easy, and customizable, these cookies are perfect for weeknight treats or impressing guests.

Ingredients

Basic Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Flavor Twists (choose one or mix & match):

  • Chocolate Chip: 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Lemon Zest: Zest of 1 lemon + 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • Peanut Butter: Replace 1/4 cup butter with 1/4 cup peanut butter

  • Coconut Lime: 1/2 cup shredded coconut + zest of 1 lime

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  2. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.

  3. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.

  4. Fold in your chosen flavor twist (chocolate chips, lemon zest, etc.).

  5. Preheat air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 5 minutes.

  6. Scoop cookie dough into tablespoon-sized balls, flatten slightly, and place on parchment paper.

  7. Arrange cookies in a single layer in the air fryer basket (do not overcrowd).

  8. Air fry 8–10 minutes, checking at 6 minutes for doneness.

  9. Cool in the basket for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Chill dough before baking to prevent excessive spreading.

  • Bake in batches for even cooking.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

  • Try mixing flavors (e.g., chocolate chip + coconut).1
