Description

Enjoy golden, crispy churros with a soft, fluffy interior — all made in the air fryer for a healthier twist! Coated in sweet cinnamon sugar, these churros are quick, easy, and perfect for dessert or a snack.


Ingredients

For the Churros:

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in flour until a ball forms. Let cool slightly.

  2. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  4. Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe 4–6 inch strips onto parchment paper, keeping them separate.

  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place churros in a single layer and air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

  6. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll churros in the mixture immediately after cooking. Serve warm.

 


Notes

  • Let dough cool slightly before adding eggs to avoid scrambling.

  • Add nutmeg or flavored extracts for extra taste.

  • Adjust churro thickness; thicker churros may need longer cooking.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days; reheat in air fryer.
