Description

These air fryer chocolate chip cookies are the perfect blend of chewy centers and crispy edges—all made in under 30 minutes! A quick, mess-free, and delicious way to enjoy cookies without turning on the oven.

Ingredients

For the Cookie Dough:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Optional Mix-Ins:

  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

  • 1/4 cup oats for a hearty twist

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Set air fryer to 300°F (150°C) while preparing the dough.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

  3. Cream Butter & Sugars: In another bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.

  4. Add Egg & Vanilla: Mix in egg and vanilla extract.

  5. Combine: Gradually stir dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.

  6. Fold In: Add chocolate chips and optional mix-ins.

  7. Shape Cookies: Scoop tablespoon-sized dough portions onto parchment paper, leaving space between each.

  8. Air Fry: Place parchment with cookies into basket. Cook 8–10 minutes, until edges are golden brown.

  9. Cool: Remove carefully and let cookies cool on a wire rack.

Notes

  • Use room temperature butter and egg for best results.

  • Don’t overmix the dough—this keeps cookies soft.

  • Air fryers vary, so check 1–2 minutes early to avoid over-baking.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze.
