Description

Fluffy, golden air fryer buttermilk biscuits with a crispy exterior and soft, buttery interior. Quick, easy, and perfect for breakfast or a snack!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed

  • 3/4 cup buttermilk

Optional Toppings

  • Butter for brushing

  • Jam or honey for serving

  • Gravy for a hearty breakfast option

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).

  • Mix dry ingredients: Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  • Cut in butter: Use a pastry cutter or your fingers until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  • Add buttermilk: Stir just until combined; don’t overmix.

  • Shape dough: Knead lightly on a floured surface, then pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle.

  • Cut biscuits: Use a biscuit cutter or glass. Place in air fryer basket with space between.

  • Air fry: Cook 8–10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

  • Serve: Brush with melted butter if desired. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • Keep butter very cold for flakier biscuits.

  • Avoid overworking the dough to keep it airy.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days, or freeze for longer.

  • Customize with cheese, herbs, bacon, or even dried fruit for variations.
