Description

Air Fryer Apple Turnovers are flaky, golden, and filled with sweet apples. A quick and easy dessert ready in minutes with puff pastry!


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

  • 1 cup apple pie filling (or cooked diced apples with cinnamon & sugar)

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

  • 1 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling)

  • Optional: icing sugar glaze (powdered sugar + milk)


Instructions

  • Prepare Pastry: Cut puff pastry sheet into 4 equal squares.

  • Fill: Spoon apple pie filling onto the center of each square.

  • Fold & Seal: Fold into triangles and press edges with a fork to seal.

  • Brush & Sprinkle: Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.

  • Air Fry: Place turnovers in air fryer basket. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until golden brown and puffed.

 

  • Serve: Cool slightly, drizzle with glaze if desired, and enjoy warm.


Notes

  • Do not overfill turnovers to avoid leaks.

  • Line air fryer basket with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

 

  • You can use cherry, blueberry, or peach filling as variations.
