Air Fryer Apple Fritters are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and bursting with sweet, spiced apple flavor. Perfect for a guilt-free breakfast, snack, or dessert, these fritters are quick, easy, and irresistible!

Ingredients

For the Fritters:

  • 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and chopped

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Optional Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 tbsp milk

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Prepare the Apples: Peel, core, and chop the apples into small pieces. Set aside.

  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

  • Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix milk, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  • Combine Mixtures: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in chopped apples.

  • Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes.

  • Shape the Fritters: Drop spoonfuls of batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each fritter.

  • Cook: Air fry 8–10 minutes, until golden brown. Cook in batches if necessary.

  • Make the Glaze (optional): Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  • Serve: Drizzle glaze over warm fritters or serve plain.,

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for balanced sweetness.

  • Stir the batter gently to keep fritters light and fluffy.

  • Adjust cooking time as needed based on your air fryer model.

  • Allow fritters to cool slightly before glazing to prevent melting.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days; reheat in the air fryer.
