Ingredients
-
1 cup creamy peanut butter
-
1 cup granulated sugar
-
1 large egg
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, and egg. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
-
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions, roll into balls, and place on the baking sheet.
-
Flatten each ball with the back of a fork, pressing in one direction and then the other to create a crisscross pattern.
-
Bake for 8–10 minutes, until cookies are set and lightly golden around the edges.
-
Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
-
Use fresh, smooth peanut butter for best results.
-
Don’t overbake — cookies will firm up as they cool.
-
Add chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, or a pinch of cinnamon for variety.
-
For chewier cookies, reduce sugar to ¾ cup and bake 8 minutes.
